Get to Heaven Keep the Seven

Everybody wants spirituality. To be a good person means to walk in G-d's ways. How does that translate to reality? The only guidebook to spirituality that has stood the test of time is the Hebrew Bible. The Bible says that the Jews will be a light onto the nations. But if you are not a born Jew, you have to convert, which is not so easy!! If you do convert, it is a lot of work to be a Jew (three times a day prayer, keeping kosher, observing the Sabbath).

This blog will show you how to be Jewish without the work!!

Life in the Womb -The nine month process in a four minute video

Assess Your Demands

At times we might be much more demanding of others than we realize. Sometimes people comply with our demands - but only with deep resentment.

Try to see things from the point of view of others... and you will be more sensitive to their inner feelings.

Do Not Surrender to Negativity

There are many moments in our life when we feel as though we are bombarded by negativity. Life is already hard enough, but in these low moments, it seems to get even harder. There is no escaping the negativity that we will encounter in our life. So rather than fighting it and wishing it away, change your perception instead

This video shows in just four minutes how a child arrives in this world, from conception to birth. The clip offers a 3D visualization of the development of an embryo in the mother's womb, and will be interesting for both men and women to watch. Incidentally, as little as 20 years ago we could only have dreamed of making this kind of film, for in those days the technology to make an ultrasound image of the inside of the uterus did not exist.

This Freudian test from learning-mind just blew me away when I tried it out. Simply by writing out my personal answers to the following 8 questions it managed to penetrate the inner working of my mind, and reveal to me who I truly am. You've got to try this out for yourself! All you need is some paper and something to write on it with. Number each answer as you write it down. Let us know how well it works for you

Judge for Yourself Rabbi Joshua b Hoffman

Ya'akov, in his blessings to his children, tells Dan, "Dan, you should judge your people as one of the tribes of Yisroel." Coming as a blessing, this verse would seem to imply that the tendency for a person to judge is praiseworthy. On the other hand, the Talmud in the first chapter of Pesachim relates that a certain person, whenever he had a clash with another person, would tell him, "let's go to court, I'm suing." The Talmud infers from the same verse cited above, that this contentious person came from Dan. So is a proclivity to judgment a good thing or a bad thing?   Rav Henoch Leibowitz, zt"l, said that engaging in judgement is a character trait. Like all character traits, it must be applied in a measured way, as the word middah, which literally means measure, implies. Some situations need to be approached with a sense of justice, while others require a lighter approach. Ya'akov praised Dan for having that discernment of when to apply din.   Based on this idea, we can explain a gemara in Sotah in regard to the burial of Ya'akov. It related that Eisav came to the burial, and insisted that the plot was his, not Ya'akov's. The tribes thereby sent Naftali to Egypt to get the receipt for it, while in the meantime, Ya'akov remained unburied. Chushim ben Dan saw this, and hit Eisav with a club, thus killing him and enabling the burial of Ya'akov. While other explanations have been given, perhaps we can suggest that Chushim, as a son of Dan, had an innate sense of justice, and even though he was deaf he saw the objective situation in front of him, and applied strict justice.

SOMETIMES IT'S GOOD TO BE DEAF

Kahane on the Parsha
Rabbi Binyamin Kahane- Parshat VaYechi
SOMETIMES IT'S GOOD TO BE DEAF

When Jacob died, his sons took his body to Canaan for burial in Me'arat HaMachpela. When they arrived, however, they found Esav waiting for them with some "news"- "The remaining burial plot in the cave belongs to me," he said.

The stunned sons tried reminding Esav that he sold the spot to Jacob. Nothing doing. After an exchange of words (see Sotah 13a for details), they agreed that Naftali would run to Egypt and bring the document confirming that the burial plot was indeed sold to Jacob. In the meantime, they waited.

One of those waiting was Chushim, son of Dan. Chushim was deaf and therefore did not hear the discussion between his uncles and Esav. At a certain point, he asked his uncles what was causing the delay. They replied that Esav was holding up the burial until Naftali returned from Egypt.

Chushim was shocked: "Should my grandfather lie here in dishonor until Naftali returns?!" He immediately grabbed a stick, ran up to Esav, and killed him with a blow to the head. The Talmud relates that Esav's eyes fell out of their sockets and rested next to the legs of Jacob- an event memorialized by the verse, "The righteous one shall rejoice when he sees vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked" (Psalms 58:11).

This story is very strange. Why was Chushim the only one present who was shocked at what was happening? Why was he the only one who rose up to put an end to the disgraceful situation? Didn't anyone else care about Jacob's honor? Where were the zealots Shimon and Levi? Where was the mighty Yehuda?

The answer to these questions teaches us an awesome lesson. The difference between Chushim and the rest of Jacob's progeny was that Chushim was the only one not involved in the negotiations with Esav. Psychologically, the moment you hear out the other party and consider his point of view, even the most outrageous claim begins to be "understood." The very act of discussing it desensitizes you as you get accustomed to ideas which previously seemed absurd.

Without a doubt, if someone had told Jacob's sons beforehand that Esav was waiting for them at Me'arat HaMachpela to prevent their father's burial, they would have boiled over with holy rage and made sure they knew how to handle the situation. But what happened was, the moment they arrived, Esav made his case: "It's mine." Sure, Jacob's sons were shocked and angry, but it is human nature not to want to leave an argument or claim unanswered. And so they reminded him that he had sold the birthright. Esav immediately countered, "I never sold my burial spot."

At this point, the brothers knew Esav was wrong, but the fact is he had made an argument, and an argument demands some kind of answer. More importantly, at this stage Jacob's sons found themselves in the heat of a negotiation process. A neutral observer could easily get the impression that both sides were making reasonable claims. He would certainly have great difficulty realizing that before him stood a scoundrel whose entire goal was to disgrace Jacob.

Chushim, meanwhile, did not hear any of the back and forth. He knew only one thing: "My grandfather is lying here in disgrace!" Jacob's sons certainly knew exactly the kind of derelict, cheater, and murderer Esav was. But since they had entered into negotiations with him, they began to think that he was perhaps being sincere this time, and said to themselves, "All we need to do is convince him that we are right and everything will be okay." But Chushim did not have the opportunity to become "convinced" of Esav's sincerity and did not understand how the brothers were allowing this low-life to delay, even for a moment, the burial of Jacob, the father of the nation. And so, he stood up and took action!

Sometimes it is forbidden to negotiate. "What's wrong with it?" people ask. "After all, you're only talking?" But it's not so. When you hear out the other person- even if you know he is a liar with evil intentions- you will begin to "understand" him and think there might be something to what he is saying, after all.

Unfortunately, for years now we have been exposed to the lies of our enemies. Recently, even those faithful to Eretz Yisrael have begun to "adjust to the reality." We have grown used to htings that would never have entered our minds only a few years ago. Heaven forbid it! Let us be zealous for truth, and not have inferiority complexes when facing false claims from the lowest of peoples. WE ARE RIGHT! IT IS OUR LAND, AND NO FOREIGN NATION SHALL DWELL IN IT!

VIRTUAL NEW JERUSALEM AS SUBSTITUTE FOR A WORLD WAR Dr. Yitzhaq (Isaac) Hayut-Man

Introducing the Rolling Stones

When we think of beautiful birds, eagles don't often come to mind. Yet, eagles are among nature's most wonderful creatures, and humans have recognized this for a long time. These carnivorous, mysterious birds are frequently taken as symbols of power, courage, and freedom, which are beautiful traits in themselves. Have a look at these wonderful 12 photographs, while you read 25 facts about these most interesting birds of prey.

 1. There are around 60 different species of eagles in the world. Most of these live in Africa and Eurasia, with others found in Australia and the Americas.
2. Almost all eagles are carnivorous, yet the vulturine fish eagle native to sub-Saharan Africa mainly eats oil palm fruit.
3. The largest of all eagles (including the Harpy and Philippine) have a wingspan that reaches more than 8 feet. Some have killed very large prey, such as deer, goats, and monkeys!

4.Female eagles are stronger than males in most eagle species.
5. The martial eagle (and some other species) can soar in the sky for many hours without beating their wings at all. They do so by relying on rising columns of hot air, called thermals.source

  1. A lot of eagle species lay two eggs. In some rare cases (less than 4%), the first eagle to hatch kills its sibling, and their parents don't try to stop this fratricide.
    7. The heaviest eagle in the world, the Steller's sea eagle, can weigh over 20 lbs (9 kg).

    8. Eagles have tremendous eyesight. Whereas humans see three basic colors, eagles see five. They have five times more light sensitive cells (1 million) per square mm of retina than we do.
    9. The largest ever recorded kill made by an eagle was of a duiker deer, which, at 82 lbs (37 kg), weighed around eight times more than the martial eagle that killed it.

10. Eagles tend to have varied diets, yet some are much more specialized. Verreaux's eagle, for instance, only eats rock hyraxes.
11. The national animal of the Philippines, the giant Philippine eagle is critically endangered. If someone in the Philippines is convicted of killing one, they can face up to 12 years in prison.

12. The largest ever tree nest that we know of was built by a bald eagle. It was 13 feet (4 m) deep, 8.2 feet (2.5 m) wide, and weighed 1.1 short tons (1 metric ton).
13. Known for their high intelligence, eagles in Greece eat turtles by dropping them onto rocks to break open their shells.e

  1. From Roman times until the Middle Ages, some writers believed that eagles were able to look directly at the sun. If their fledglings could not do so without blinking, it was said they would be expelled from the family nest.
    15. 25 countries in the world today use an eagle image for their coat of arms, probably because of the creature's reputation as the 'King of Birds.'16. Bald eagles aren't bald, though the name suggests so. The 'bald' actually comes from the obsolete word 'piebald', which is said to refer to their white heads.
    17. Eagles can lock themselves into position in such a way that they can sleep while perched on a branch.

    18. Eagles put on spectacular aerial displays to attract mates and defend their territories. For the same reason, they fight viciously with each other, locking talons in a free-falling spiral.
    19. There are four loose groups of eagles: fish eagles (that feed on fish), booted eagles (with feathered lower legs), snake eagles (that hunt reptiles), and Harpy eagles (that live in tropical forests).

    20. Around half of an eagle's body mass is made up by an astonishing 7,000 feathers.
    21. The golden eagle is the fastest of the bunch, able to reach speeds of 200 mph (320 km/h). This makes it the second fastest bird in the world, next to the peregrine falcon.

    22. 68% of all bald eagle deaths are human-caused. 23% die when they hit man-made objects and structures, like wires, cars, or buildings, 22% die after being shot, 5% after being trapped, 9% are electrocuted, and 11% are poisoned.
    23. Relative to their size, the wings of an eagle have greater strength and power than an airplane's wings.

    24. Bald eagles have a small hole in their tongue which is an opening to its respiratory system.
    25. While other birds of prey tend to look over their shoulder to see whether they are being followed, eagles do not, perhaps because they are so sure of themselves.

When You Can't Empathize, Care

When you empathize with someone, keep in mind that you can never know exactly how they are feeling. You can only make assumptions based on your knowledge of human nature in general, and this unique individual in particular. At times, the best thing to say might be, "I can't know exactly how you are feeling. But I see how strongly this affects you."

Titus Flavius cites the UNResolution

Titus Cites UNSCR 2334 In Demanding Besieged Jerusalem SurrenderThe Council automatically rendered the entire Jewish stronghold currently under siege an illegal entity that must be dismantled.

Jerusalem, December 28 – The Roman general commanding the forces surrounding the Jewish capital sent messengers today to the leaders of the besieged stronghold urging them to comply with Security Council Resolution 2334, which declared that a Jewish sovereign presence beyond the 1949 lines is illegal.

Titus Flavius, who took over the siege when his father Vespasian received word he had been appointed Emperor of Rome, cited the relevant decision of the United Nations, noting the fact that in deeming Jewish settlement or construction beyond the armistice lines illegal under international law, the Council automatically rendered the entire Jewish stronghold currently under siege an illegal entity that must be dismantled. That could happen, warned Titus, by peaceful means if the defenders of the city simply gave up the fight and agreed to be subjugated and sent elsewhere, or it could happen by force if necessary, and the Roman Legions laying the siege were prepared to subdue Jerusalem by those means.

"Be advised that in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, adopted December 23, 2016, this Jewish settlement of Jerusalem constitutes a violation of international law, in its consisting of Jewish settlement beyond the retroactively recognized boundaries that obtained prior to June, 1967," read the general's message, conveyed by courier. "Any attempt to thwart our action, sanctioned under the same international law, will be met with uncompromising force. Surrender, Jews, or face the wrath of the international community."

Resolution 2334 was adopted by a 14-0 vote in the Council, with the United States pointedly abstaining and declining to veto the measure. In so doing, the Obama administration departed from decades of American presidential policy that shielded the Jewish State from overt bias in the UN and its various organs. Observers predicted the chilling effect the American and international move would have on the Jewish effort to maintain control over their ancient capital and homeland in general.

Titus and his troops have been battling a Jewish insurgency against Roman rule that erupted in the year 66. Only once Vespasian took command and brought in overwhelming numbers of Roman soldiers was the tide turned, and now the Jewish State remains in control only of its capital Jerusalem and several isolated outposts. "We gave Jewish legitimacy a good number of generations, but it doesn't seem to be a recipe for peace," explained Flavius Josephus, a spokesman for Titus. "It might be time to deport these rebels by the hundreds of thousands and rename the place to help remove the connection between the Jews and Judea. I humbly suggest something ironic, such as 'Palestina,' a word that itself means 'invaders.' The joke will be on whoever uses it to establish a claim of indigenous status."

SERENITY

Just before the funeral services, the undertaker came up to the very elderly widow and asked,
'How old was your husband?'  '98,' she replied....
'Two years older than me'
'So you're 96,' the undertaker commented..
She responded, 'Hardly worth going home, is it?

Reporters interviewing a 104-year-old woman:
'And what do you think is the best thing
about being 104?'  the reporter asked...
She simply replied, 'No peer pressure.'

The nice thing about being senile is
you can hide your own Easter eggs and have fun finding them.

I've sure gotten old!
I've had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement, new knees, fought prostate cancer and diabetes.  I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine,
take 40 different medications that
make me dizzy, winded, and subject to
blackouts.  Have bouts with dementia.
Have poor circulation; hardly feel myhands and feet anymore.  Can't remember if I'm 85 or 92.  Have lost all my friends.

But, thank God, I still have my driver's license.

I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to
join a fitness club and start exercising.
I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors.
I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up anddown, and perspired for an hour.  But, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Know how to prevent sagging?
Just eat till the wrinkles fill out.

It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

These days about half the stuff in my shopping cart says, 'For fast relief.'

THE SENILITY PRAYER :
Grant me the senility to forget the people
I never liked anyway, the good fortuneto run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

"Jewish Settlements"

Eli E. Hertz

Almost 100 years ago, Jews were busy building a country in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank). This all came before John Kerry, Barack Hussein Obama, Samantha Power, the PLO and Mahmoud Abbas.

Excerpt from the Report of The High Commissioner on the Administration of Palestine, 1920-1925:

"After the persecutions in Russia forty years ago, the movement of the Jews to Palestine assumed larger proportions. Jewish agricultural Colonies were founded. They developed the culture of oranges and gave importance to the Jaffa orange trade. They cultivated the vine, and manufactured and exported wine. They drained swamps. They planted eucalyptus trees. They practiced, with modern methods, all the processes of agriculture.

"There are at the present time 64 of these settlements, large and small, with a population of some 15,000. Every traveller in Palestine who visits them is impressed by the contrast between these pleasant villages , with the beautiful stretches of prosperous cultivation about them and the primitive conditions of life and work by which they are surrounded [by Arabs]."

Settlements were and still remain the domain of the Jewish pioneer. Any attempt to negate the Jewish people's right to Palestine and to deny them access and control in the area designated for the Jewish people by the League of Nations is an actionable infringement of international law.

The Jewish mental disorder and a trip to the Jordon Valley

Can't see images? Click here...

Rabbi Yehuda Lave

Choose Life

At every given moment in your life "The Almighty is telling you, 'Choose life!'"

Imagine how you will enhance your life when you respond, "Yes! I will make a life-enhancing choice right now." Have frequent self-conversations about your decision to "choose life!"

Each moment you make three choices. You choose your thoughts for the moment. You choose the words you say or don't say. You choose the actions you will or won't take.

Choose wisely. It would be wise to ask yourself frequently, "What is a wise thing to think now?" "What is a wise thing to say now?" and, "What is a wise thing to do now?"

The more frequently you purposely ask yourself, "What is a life-enhancing choice now?" the more frequently your mind will spontaneously come up with this question.

The more you think about making life-enhancing choices, the easier it will be for you to think of wiser answers to this question.

Sometimes, a life-enhancing choice is quite obvious. All we need to do is ask ourselves this question and we will know the answer. At other times we might not be so sure. But at least we will be going in the right direction.

This is the blessing of Free choice that G-d who loves us so much gives us!!

Diagnosis of a Mental Disorder Prof. Paul Eidelberg

Diagnosis of a Mental Disorder

Prof. Paul Eidelberg

A mental disorder has crippled Israel. This disorder is rooted in fear, but this fear has yet to be adequately diagnosed.

The idea that fear permeates the Jewish psyche is not new. It is the well-known consequence of two thousand years of statelessness and dispersion, persecution and humiliation, pogroms and holocaust. It is the inevitable result of the world's perennial and deadly hatred of Jews and Judaism.

There is nothing paranoid about this fear. It reflects a somber assessment of a typically hostile world. But this fear has been magnified and rendered pathological by a related fear engendered by the triumph of democracy over Zionism in the mentality of Israel's ruling elites.

That democracy has replaced Zionism as the only justification for the State of Israel has profound, but hitherto unexplored, psychological consequences.

Since 1975, when the UN declared Zionism a form of racism, the legitimacy and respectability of Israel's ruling elites have depended solely on their government's democratic credentials. Despite Israel's miniature size and precarious existence in the Middle East, its ruling elites have been conditioned to pursue policies toward Arabs which makes Israel appear more permissive and egalitarian than democratic America, a continental superpower. The policy of self-restraint vis-à-vis Arab terrorism is the most revealing case in point.

Fear of losing their democratic respectability is the a basic reason why Israeli governments have refrained from crushing the PLO-Palestinian Authority, whose genocidal intentions are manifest to all but fools. But crushing this enemy would make Israel appear as a fascist state, a prospect that terrifies Israel's ruling elites. This compounds their fear of anti-Semitism.

Compounding this dilemma is the Jewish reputation for kindness and mercy. The benevolence of Jews on the one hand, and their having so often been the victims of oppression on the other, tend to inhibit Israel's government from using overwhelming force even against such cruel enemies as the Arab Palestinians—but not against Jews themselves, as witness the government's expulsion of 8,000 Jews from their homes in Gaza—now called "Hamastan," an Islamic despotism

However, when Jews habitually make no distinction between those who are and those who are not worthy of benevolence, they cross the boundary that separates sanity from insanity. What has induced Israel's ruling elites to cross this boundary is Democracy!

Tolerance of violent behavior and leniency in the punishment of such behavior are characteristics of democracy—a mixed blessing. But these characteristics attain pathological levels in Israel, because of the genocidal goal of pronounced both in the Hamas Charter as well as in the Charter of Fatah-led Palestinian Authority.

Israel's inane and insane policy of surrendering strategically vital Jewish land to their implacable enemies should be understood as the consequence of democracy having become the only thing that endows Israel's political and judicial elites with legitimacy and respectability. To safeguard their democratic reputation, they must be more democratic than their American counterparts, which compels them to minimize retaliation against terrorist attacks—even to ignore many of them—and thus make Jewish lives expendable. And this is not all.

Having absorbed the "ethos" of democracy into their psyche, Israel's ruling elites have imbibed the moral and cultural relativism that dominates the democratic mind. Hence they can no longer believe in the absolute justice of Israel's cause. This relativism inhibits Israeli prime ministers from crushing Israel's enemies. To do so would signify Jewish national pride—something Jewish democrats can ill-afford. Jews must be meek. Better to be victims than victors—to prove the Jew's moral superiority!

And so the government must always make unilateral concessions, to the extent of turning over Jewish land to terrorists. Israel's Supreme Court sanctifies such madness and self-immolation by ruling that this land is "occupied territory," that it does not even belongs to the Jews—a position thoroughly refuted by American and Israeli professors of law, and above all in Howard Grief's monumental work The Legal Foundation and Borders of Israel under International Law.

But heaven Heaven forbid that the Jews should stand tall and maintain their God-given right to Eretz Israel! No—this would smack of racism! This would undermine the democratic respectability of Israeli politicians and judges, of academics and journalists. Democracy is their life raft.

This democracy, steeped in moral egalitarianism, has emasculated Israel.

Snowstorm In Chicago Delays Hundreds Of Morning Murders

The city of Chicago is steadily recovering from an overnight snowstorm that delayed hundreds of murders on Saturday and Sunday morning and will likely continue to push numerous homicides across the city drastically behind schedule, public authorities announced. "As we speak, maintenance crews are working diligently to restore public transportation, de-ice roads, and clear back alleyways so that Chicagoans can quickly resume murdering again,"

Department of Streets and Sanitation spokesman Dave Michelson said of the heavy blizzard, which caused numerous homicide cancellations this morning at peak murder times. "Unfortunately, we're backed up by about 35 deadly shootings at the moment, but we hope to restore regular death tolls as soon as possible. We apologize to anyone forced to postpone shootings or other killings today and assure concerned murderers that they will be able to resume slayings by the early afternoon."

At press time, authorities reported that murders were up and running in many parts of the city, with four teenagers already gunned down on Chicago's South Side.

usual attacks on Trump no matter what he does

Donald Trump jetted to his yacht, which was docked off the coast of Italy.

He invited Pope Francis and the press corps on board for a Saturday afternoon cruise.

It was a rather windy day.

The Pope's little hat, his zucchetto, was blown from his head and into the water.

A crewman began lowering a boat to retrieve the zucchetto.
Trump told the crewman not to bother.

Trump climbed down the yacht's ladder; walked across the waves, picked up the zucchetto; walked back to the yacht and handed it to the Pope.

The Pope and the press corps were amazed! Donald Trump could actually walk on water!

Speculation immediately began as to how ABC, CNN, NBC, The Washington Post and New York Times would report this miraculous event to the rest of the world.

The next morning the New York Times headline read . . . .

Linda Sarsour, one of the organizers behind Saturday's Women's March, being held in Washington, D.C., was recently spotted at a large Muslim convention in Chicago posing for pictures with an accused financier for Hamas, the terrorist group.

Sarsour, the head of the Arab American Association of New York and an Obama White House "Champion of Change," was speaking at last month's 15th annual convention of the Muslim American Society and Islamic Circle of North America.

While there, she posed for a picture with Salah Sarsour, a member of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and former Hamas operative who was jailed in Israel in the 1990s because of his alleged work for the terrorist group.

Salah Sarsour, who is also a board member of American Muslims for Palestine, served as a bodyguard of sorts at the convention for Sumeyye Erdogan Bayraktar, the daughter of Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
