I have only one live child a handicapped woman who wants to be loved. She was privileged to have found a soul mate for 25 years that helped her to share her journey. Last night her soulmate's journey ended. He was the son I didn't have, he was my son-in-law instead. I was a Father to him and although I don't sit shivah for him, my memories of him and his telling me he loved me, will always be with me. John, here is blessing to your next journey, that you will continue to be sweet. Love Yehuda The Three Musketeers at the Kotel The Three are Rabbi Yehuda Glick, famous temple mount activist, and former Israel Mk, and then Robert Weinger, the world's greatest shofar blower and seller of Shofars, and myself after we had gone to the 12 gates of the Temple Mount in 2020 to blow the shofar to ask G-d to heal the world from the Pandemic. It was a highlight to my experience in living in Israel and I put it on my blog each day to remember. The articles that I include each day are those that I find interesting, so I feel you will find them interesting as well. That's as crazy as the discounts at Moisha's Kosher Grocery… Bill Gates has now donated enough money to charity that he lost his billionaire status. He now goes by Mill Gates. The Israelis are using a new type of rocket that constantly updates its WhatsApp status until it reaches its target. It's an attention-seeking missile. Years ago, a young Navy Pilot was injured while ejecting from his A-4 Skyhawk due to engine failure during a cat shot from the carrier, but due to the heroics of rescue helicopter crew and the ship's hospital staff, the only permanent injury was the loss of one ear. Since he wasn't physically impaired, he remained on flight status and eventually became an Admiral. However, during his career he was always sensitive about his appearance. One day the Admiral was interviewing two Navy Master Chiefs and a Marine Sergeant Major for his personal staff. The first Master Chief was a surface Navy type and it was a great interview. At the end of the interview the Admiral asked him, "Do you notice anything different about me?" The Master Chief answered, "Why, yes, Admiral. I couldn't help but notice that you are missing your starboard ear, so I don't know whether this impacts your hearing on that side." The Admiral got very angry at this lack of tact and threw him out of his office. The next candidate, an Aviation Master Chief, when asked this same question, answered, "Well yes, Sir, you seem to be short one ear." The Admiral threw him out as well. The third interview was with the Marine Sergeant Major. He was articulate, extremely sharp, and seemed to know more than the two Navy Master Chiefs put together. The Admiral wanted this guy, but went ahead with the same question. "Do you notice anything different about me?" To his surprise, the Sergeant Major said, "Yes Sir You wear contact lenses." The Admiral was impressed and thought to himself, what an incredibly tactful Marine. "And how would you know that?" the Admiral asked. The Sergeant Major replied: "Well, sir, it's pretty hard to wear glasses with only one ear." An investigative journalist went to Afghanistan to study the culture and was shocked to discover that women were made to walk ten paces behind the men. She asked her guide why and he said, "Because they are considered of lesser status." Outraged the journalist went home. A year later she returned covering violence in the region and was surprised to see the women walking ten paces ahead. She turned to her guide and this time asked, "What has changed?" A pasty-faced, bespectacled young man dangling from the minute hand of an enormous clock twelve stories above a city street. For years, it was thought that comedian Harold Lloyd made the dizzying ascent by himself. But after Lloyd's death in 1970, stuntman Harvey Parry revealed that he had handled most of the really treacherous parts – the flips and near-falls. As for the clock scene, a set replicating the building's top two floors was constructed on the roof of the actual building, with mattresses laid down in case Lloyd fell the twenty feet or so. Cameras were cleverly angled to show the street below. Safety Last (1923) earned Harold Lloyd, the bookish, horn-rimmed glasses, straw-hat-wearing comedian and Everyman hero, his nickname "the King of Daredevil Comedy." Lloyd's films of this period often included timeless gags, pathos, and clever visual elements. The film was directed by Fred C. Newmeyer and Sam Taylor, and produced by Hal Roach. Lloyd made nearly 200 films between 1914 and 1947.
