Get to Heaven Keep the Seven

Everybody wants spirituality. To be a good person means to walk in G-d's ways. How does that translate to reality? The only guidebook to spirituality that has stood the test of time is the Hebrew Bible. The Bible says that the Jews will be a light onto the nations. But if you are not a born Jew, you have to convert, which is not so easy!! If you do convert, it is a lot of work to be a Jew (three times a day prayer, keeping kosher, observing the Sabbath).

This blog will show you how to be Jewish without the work!!

The Days of Ishmael Ruling in the Land of Israel Are Over," Proclaims Rabbi Baruch Abuhatzeira

By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz

"And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin." (Genesis 17:24-25)

The end of days are quickly approaching, announced a prominent Israeli rabbi, as the "difficult security situation in Israel" heats up.

In a video making the rounds online, Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Amar, the former Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel, is seen hosting Rabbi Baruch Abuhatzeira, known as the Baba Baruch and son of the late Baba Sali, who was one of the greatest Kabbalists of our generation. In a markedly uncharacteristic manner, the Baba Baruch related to present events in Israel and their connection to the imminent arrival of the Messiah.

In the video, which was broadcast to hundreds of thousands of viewers, Rabbi Baruch spoke about "the difficult security situation in Israel" but reassured his audience by saying the hard times were almost over.

"It is finished and from today on, the years in which Ishmael (the Arabs) rule over the Jews are finished," he stated. "There are signs the Messiah is imminent."

Beseeching God, Rabbi Baruch called out, "Enough already! The nation of Israel can no longer bear it. Everything that is happening today, in Israel and all over the world, may the evil ones be cursed, it is spoken about in Kabala."

Rabbi Baruch then related what is written in the Zohar, Judaism's central mystical Jewish text, regarding the divine reward for the nation of Ishmael and its ultimate downfall.

"Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (a sage from the Second Temple period) said that the ministering angel of Ishmael stood in front of God and petitioned him, saying, 'Anyone who does a mitzvah (good deed) should receive a reward. Ishmael circumcised himself. And not just at eight days, but when he was 13 years old! Does he not earn merit for this?'"

Rabbi Baruch taught, "The Zohar says that God answered, saying that the land of Israel will be given to them during the time that it will be empty of Jews, after the destruction of the Temple."

"That is exactly what happened," he continued. "God gave Ishmael 100 years for every year until he was circumcised; 1,300 years to rule in the land of Israel. Now we see that the end of this time has come. They were here, they ruled over the land, they received their reward, now it is time for the Nation of Israel to rule in their land. It is time for the messiah and the redemption, when Israel will rule over all of the land. Not this part belonging to them and this part belonging to us."

Rabbi Baruch concluded his message with a special blessing: "With God's blessing, we will merit seeing this with our own eyes, the arrival of the Messiah, who will subdue them and send them out from our land."

800-Year-Old Prophecy Declares When "King of Persia Will Provoke King of Arabia" Redemption is Around the Corner

When Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic ties with Iran, this created a chain reaction that led Bahrain and other Middle Eastern countries to expel Iranian diplomats. Unwittingly, Saudi Arabia's actions can be seen as the fulfillment of a messianic Jewish prophecy found in the ancient Jewish holy book known as the Yalkut Shimoni.

The Yalkut Shimoni, a compilation of rabbinic commentary on the Bible, is believed to have been composed in the 13th century. Despite being written over 800 years ago, the Yalkut Shimoni has something extremely relevant to say about today's headlines.

Speaking about the relevant passage in the Yalkut Shimoni, Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam, better known as the Klausenberger Rebbe, said, "Remember these words. Now, perhaps, they are not understood, but in time, they will be, and they will be a source of chizuk (strength) to Am Yisroel (the Jewish people)." The Klausenberger Rebbe was an Orthodox rabbi with thousands of followers in the years prior to World War II. Most of his followers were murdered in the Holocaust. The Klausenberger Rebbe died in Israel in 1994.

What was the prophecy of the Yalkut Shimoni that the Klausenberger Rebbe knew would bring comfort and strength to the Jewish people at a future date? The Yalkut Shimoni predicted that the year the Messiah would appear, the "King of Persia [Iran] will provoke the King of Arabia [Saudi Arabia]."

The two main sects in Islam are Sunni and Shia. While they both have much in common, the differences between the two sects in Islam have led to a long history of violent and deadly conflict among Muslims . Many of today's political and diplomatic conflicts between Iran and other Muslim countries are connected to this Sunni-Shia divide

Not surprisingly, Iran and Saudi Arabia do not share the same Muslim sect. Although the vast majority of the Islamic world today is Sunni, Iran, and, to a lesser degree Iraq, are home to the majority of the region's Shiite Muslims. Saudi Arabia is more than 90 percent Sunni. Iran, by contrast, is 95 percent Shiite.

Thus, when angry Shiite Iranians recently overran the Saudi embassy in Tehran this past Sunday to protest the execution of a Shiite Muslim cleric named Nimr al-Nimr, the duel between the Sunnis and the Shiites was inflamed. As a consequence, Saudi Arabia gave Iranian diplomats 48 hours to pack up and leave.

The full text of the Yalkut Shimoni connects the political tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia with good news about the full redemption of the Jewish people.

"Rabbi Yizchok said: 'The year that Melech HaMoshiach [Messiah the King] will be revealed, all the nations of the world will be provoking each other. The King of Persia (Iran) will provoke the King of Arabia, and the King of Arabia will go to Edom (the West) to take counsel, but the King of Persia will in turn, destroy the entire world. The nations of the world will be outraged and panicked. They will fall on their faces, and they will experience pains like birth pangs. Israel too will be outraged and in a state of panic and ask, where do we go? But say unto them, "My children, do not fear, 'Higiyah zman geulatchem' [the time of your redemption has come]. And in the last redemption will be different from the first which was followed by further bondage and pain. After this last redemption, you will not again experience any further pain or subjugation."

Rabbi Baruch Cohen, a civil trial attorney in the US and pro-Israel blogger at American Trial Attorneys In Defense of Israel shared with Breaking Israel News the enthusiasm many feel when comparing the ancient prophecy to current events.

"It is incredible to see Chazal's [the Jewish sages'] prophecies come to life in real time in today's headlines," he said.

saudi arabia iran flag"The Baal Haturim [early 14th century scholar of Jewish law] explains when Yishmael [Ishmael, meaning the Muslim Arabs] will fall and be finally defeated in the end of days, then the Moshiach [messiah] – the descendant of Yishai [father of King David], who is himself a descendant of Yitzchak [Issac], will come. Even in the most terrifying of times, we are comforted by the fact that eventually, with the ultimate downfall of the descendants of Yishmael, we will merit the final redemption by our righteous Moshiach."

Cohen concluded his comments to Breaking Israel News with with a spiritual challenge to those who are waiting for the Messiah to come and redeem humanity.

"Yishmael typifies the power of prayer. He himself was born out of the power of the prayer of his mother Hagar. To this very day, the Arabs excel in prayer, which occupies a significant place in their daily ritual. In order to counteract the power of their prayer, we need to improve the concentration and intensity of our own prayers."

Rabbinate ordered to make public its list of 'acceptable' Diaspora rabbis

In court battle closely watched by world Jewry, Israel's top religious authority must produce names of rabbis whose testimony it accepts when determining Jewishness

The chief rabbinate of Israel was ordered to release its internal list of Diaspora rabbis deemed acceptable by the organization for purposes of proving Jewish identity.

At a court hearing on January 6, the rabbinate, the bureaucratic body under whose auspices Jewish lifecycle events such as marriage or conversion must legally be registered, was ordered to produce the list within a month and a half.

Without recognition from the rabbinate, Jews from abroad, including many converts, are blocked from access to lifecycle events, including burial in a Jewish cemetery.

In her decision, Judge Nava Ben-Or declared herself "shocked" by the apparent lack of transparency in this matter most central to everyday existence.

"This is a person's life, we're talking about very serious matters," she said, describing a situation in which people wait indeterminately for the rabbinate to decide their fates, saying they hear nothing and are not being answered.

"It is a right to start a family," Ben-Or said. "I am ashamed that in a functioning state this information cannot be provided. It is an unprecedented scandal. It is not Jewish, and inhumane."

The release of information suit was brought against the rabbinate in October by Itim, an NGO headed by Rabbi Seth Farber which since 2002 has made it a mission to aid immigrants and Israelis with problematic Jewish status in navigating the religious bureaucracy.

"I am pleased that the court recognized both the ineptitude of the present administration as well as the significance of the issue at hand. I hope that the rabbinate will take the judge's words to heart and begin to act in a transparent way in order to make Jewish life more normal in this country," Farber told The Times of Israel on Thursday.

According to Itim, in the past two years alone the organization has petitioned the rabbinate six times to produce the list of rabbis whose testimonies are considered in determining which immigrants, or children of immigrants are considered Jewish according to Orthodox religious law (halacha).

Itim has requested the list due to what it calls opaque practices in the chief rabbinate's registrar office. Manned by mid-level bureaucrat Rabbi Itamar Tubul, the sole employee has handled some 5,000 proof-of-Judaism letters and marriage requests from immigrants between 2013-2015.

The lawsuit is one of many against the rabbinate and other state religious authorities from Itim, as part of a strategic grassroots effort to erode the rabbinate's monopoly.

The Israeli chief rabbinate is the sole provider of legal marriages for Israeli Jews. According to law based in pre-state protocols, it is illegal for Israeli Jews to marry outside of the rabbinate, an administrative body founded by the Ottoman Empire.

According to the Hiddush 2015 Israel Religion and State Index, the Israeli public supports de-monopolizing the rabbinate, most especially in regards to marriage. It found that in addition to the 70% of secular Jews and 67% of immigrants who would prefer to have a non-Orthodox wedding, some 37% said they would prefer an unsanctioned marriage in Israel, or to live as common law spouses.

However, although in recent years Israel has seen a growing trend of unauthorized halachic weddings, a 2013 law emphasized the possibility of a two-year jail sentence for both the couple standing under the chuppah, and the officiating rabbi.

There is no state authorized civil marriage in Israel, although common-law partnerships are recognized by the civil population registry. In the cases of mixed marriage (ie. Muslims with Jews), one party must officially convert to the other's religion for an authorized ceremony.

Pro Israel video from CUFI (Christians United For Israel)

We are also tackling a new and terrible slander of Israel that is spreading across America's college campuses and beyond: the claim that Israel is a racist, apartheid country like South Africa once was. Last month, a CUFI initiative called The Israel Collective released a powerful new video that destroys this dangerous lie.

We believe that the reality exposed in this film will penetrate even the most hardened of hearts. The film dramatically exposes the lie that Israel is like the South Africa of old with the truth about the equality, prosperity and freedom enjoyed by all Israeli citizens, Arabs and Jews alike. The powerful film was shot on location in South Africa. It can be viewed here.
