Get to Heaven Keep the Seven

Everybody wants spirituality. To be a good person means to walk in G-d's ways. How does that translate to reality? The only guidebook to spirituality that has stood the test of time is the Hebrew Bible. The Bible says that the Jews will be a light onto the nations. But if you are not a born Jew, you have to convert, which is not so easy!! If you do convert, it is a lot of work to be a Jew (three times a day prayer, keeping kosher, observing the Sabbath).

This blog will show you how to be Jewish without the work!!

Revolutionary New Engine being designed in Israel

See Frustrations in Perspective

A basic reason we get angry is because we exaggerate the importance of things. When we realize that something is trivial and unimportant, we don't become angry.

Whenever you feel angry about something, try to see how petty the matter is in the big picture. The vast majority of occurrences fall into this category. Keep in mind that we are in this world for a very short time, and the things that upset us are of minor importance in the entire scheme of the universe.

An Israeli company based in Rosh Haayin, less than 20 miles east of Tel Aviv, has developed an economical and efficient engine that far exceeds current commercial models, with a 40% energy efficiency, and double the best performance of the best standard engine today, The Marker reported. To date, this kind of energy efficiency has been associated with extreme race car engines running in indoor tracks, but the new Israeli engine works on ordinary streets and highways. Hard to believe? Some of the world's major car makers were not easily convinced either, until they took the new engine to be tested in their own labs, and today one of the most popular European car maker is in the planning stages of building its next car around the new invention, and several other companies are standing in line as well.

Meet Aquarius Engines, a company that was established in 2014 by the engine developer Shaul Yaakoby, now its Chief Technology Officer, Chief Executive Officer Ariel Gorfung, and Chief Marketing Officer Gal Fridman.

Despite the above hype, and its sixties-style name, the Aquarius engine does not run on water. Also absent are futuristic technologies such as fuel cells or aluminum fuel. The revolutionary change it introduces stems from the kind of innovation many engineers are probably kicking themselves right now for having missed it. Here goes: while ordinary engines produce a circular motion which is transformed to the wheels, the Aquarius engine produces a longitudinal movement. Only a 500 cc, single cylinder is pumping inside the engine, and its piston, moving sideways, produces 86 horsepower.

Contrary to conventional engines, the Aquarius does not drive the wheels directly, but serves as a generator charging a battery located beneath the car floor under the back seat. The battery operates two small electric motors located next to the front wheels, and these motors move the car.

It looks like a shiny little box, flat and very compact. "This kind of engine contains far fewer mechanical components," says Fridman. "There are no valves, a crankshaft or other related parts, which makes for a much cheaper and more efficient car." The company has registered three unique patents for this engine, which could lead to a new species of cars, even design-wise. "They'll build the car around its propulsion unit," Fridman says, adding, "Because the motor is small and free from superfluous components, it will facilitate a better utilization of the vehicle's dimensions. Cars will look completely different."

"This is not our end goal, but as part of our pilot with a European car maker, our propulsion system will be installed in a popular mini model that's being sold in Israel as well. The initial tests were successful, but I don't yet have the official technical results, like gas consumption or speed performance. What's important is that fuel efficiency is very high, and that leads to great savings. In two years the European company is expected to reveal a display model with our engine in it. We promised them a six-months advantage in marketing our engines ahead of other manufacturers who are likewise interested," Fridman says.

"The engine testing company AVL, which is the oracle in its field, recently confirmed our fuel efficiency data and they said about us that after 100 years and hundreds of trillions of dollars invested in engines, our own initial results are astonishing by any measure," Fridman said, then added with barely restrained pride, "Many inventors try to think outside the box, but anyone who has checked our engine is saying that our inventor Shauli Yaakoby is probably not aware that there is a box."

On Eve of Tu B'shvat Rabbi Lior Classifies Chocolate as Fruit

Remember when President Reagan received much scorn for suggesting school lunch ketchup qualifies as a vegetable ( for the full story go here)? Well, that's nothing compared with the recent decision of Rabbi Dov Lior, one of the most creative and authoritative halakhic deciders of the National Religious community, that the proper blessing for chocolate is "Boreh pri ha'etz" – the blessing for fruits, as Srugim reported Sunday.

During his regular class at Beit Orot yeshiva in Jerusalem, Rabbi Lior suggested that since chocolate is made from cacao beans, it should be considered a fruit. Rabbi Elkana Lior, his son, explained the unusual decision based on the 1906 halakhic tome by Rabbi Yisrael Meir Kagan "Mishna Brura" (Heb: Clarified Teaching), who held that the fruit of the tree blessing is not conditioned on maintaining the original shape of the fruit, but rather on the manner with which people usually consume it, even if, through processing, the final product does not resemble the fruit at all — so long as some of the characteristics of the original fruit are maintained. This would cover apple sauce, for instance, and since the common way of consuming the fruit of the cacao tree is in chocolate packages, the proper blessing must be Fruit of the Tree.

During the same class, a student asked why the blessing for sugar, made from beats or cane, is "shehakol" (the blessing that covers almost literally everything one consumes that isn't otherwise defined as coming from a tree or a bush — meat, chicken, fish, eggs, milk, gum and cheese). Rabbi Lior responded that sugar really should have had the "Fruit of the earth" blessing, but it has been so common to refer to sugar as "shehakol" that it is acceptable, which is supported by Maimonides' view that if the fruit product is unrecognizably changed from its original appearance it will have become like a chunk of salt and so its blessing is "shehakol." However, chocolate, which retains the color of the original bean, should be treated as fruit of the tree.

Nevertheless, when asked why we shouldn't allow the equally common practice of endowing chocolate with the "shehakol" blessing, Rabbi Lior responded that if a custom is rooted in an error it should be changed. He noted that the late great halakhic decider Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach attempted to correct the errors of the multitudes but the latter wouldn't heed his call. And so, Rabbi Lior insisted, since the majority of religious Jews are making the erroneous "shehakol" blessing on chocolate, we should become used to making the fruit of the tree blessing, until we no longer consider it an odd thing.

Undercover operation exposes true face of radical "human rights" activists
"Uvda", an investigative TV program on Israeli TV, exposes human rights activists working together with the PA intelligence in order to murder Arab land dealers for selling land to Jews. This full report is based on an "Ad Kan" investigation – an NGO that is dedicated to expose the true face of Israel's radical "human rights" organizations and the BDS movement.

Amazing photography of things which are either too small, slow or fast to appreciate in normal life

We live in a world of un-seeable beauty, so subtle and delicate that it is imperceptible to the human eye. To bring this invisible world to light, filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg bends the boundaries of time and space with high-speed cameras, time lapses and microscopes.
At TED2014, he shares highlights from his latest project, a 3D film titled "Mysteries of the Unseen World," which slows down, speeds up, and magnifies the astonishing wonders of nature.
This is amazing photography and brilliantly explained.

HE BEST GIFT

Written by To The Point News

Friday, 12 September 2014

During the recent cease-fire, the leader of the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, Khaled Mashal, sent a gift to the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, in an elaborate box with a note.

After having the box checked for safety reasons, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened the box and saw that the content was human faeces.

He opened the note, handwritten in Arabic by Mr. Mashal, which said, "For you and the proud people of the Zionist Entity."

Mr. Netanyahu, literate in Arabic, pondered the note and decided how best to reciprocate.

He quickly did so by sending the Hamas leader a very pretty package with a personal note.

Mr. Mashal and the other leaders of Hamas were very surprised to receive the parcel and opened it very carefully suspecting that it might contain a bomb.

But to their surprise they saw that it contained a tiny computer chip

The chip was rechargeable with solar energy, had a 1.8 terabyte memory and could output a 3D hologram display capable of functioning in any type of cellular phone, tablet or laptop.

It was one of the world's most advanced technologies, with a tiny label, "Invented and produced in Israel ."

Mr. Netanyahu's note, personally handwritten in Arabic, Hebrew, French, and English, stated very courteously...

" Every leader can only give the best his people can produce."
